The ninth in Clarkson Research Studies’ series of Shipping Sector Reports focuses on "Intermediate Containerships".

In this report the term "intermediate containership" is used to cover a range of ships with 1000 TEU and above in capacity, but below 3000 TEU. This is a substantial fleet that currently consists of more than 1400 ships with a combined capacity of almost 2.6m TEU.

The aim of this Sector Report is to bring together all of the information we have relating to these vessels in one well-structured review. Summary text is designed to help decisionmakers to quickly reach conclusions for themselves, whilst the in-depth tables will provide the scope for deeper analysis.
