The stature of Canada as an offshore oil & gas producer is immense, not so much because of the volumes of production, (although these are impressive enough) but because of the technology involved. From the giant Hibernia Field project offshore Newfoundland in the east to the Arctic islands in the North, the record of innovative engineering in the face of unparalleled environmental harshness is unique. Curiously though, all this endeavour has never been properly charted. Certainly there have been maps, often produced by state governments, covering individual areas of offshore interest, but these have hardly been to the highest accepted oil & gas activity and concession map standard. Now, with this new OPL map you’ll have, for the first time a complete overview of Canadian offshore activity from Greenland (Denmark) and Labrador in the east to the Arctic Islands in the west, on a single sheet. Features include detail inset maps for key and complex producing areas and all the usual information associated with OPL activity and concession maps.
